Energy

The Westin Maui was awarded the "Energy Efficiency Hall of Fame" in 2008 by the Maui Electric Company, saving 10,250,000 KWH enough to power a house for 170 years and 17,800 barrels of oil per year.  This equals to 1,130 tons of CO2 not being disposed in to the air which would be like taking 300 cars off the road or planting 1,000 trees!
