HOT & NEW FAVE
The Westin Maui Resort & Spa

Family Fun
Coconut Leaf Weaving and Coconut Husking Demonstration - The Westin Maui Resort & Spa has added a new cultural activity as part of its Westin Destination Club program for hotel guests. The interactive Coconut Leaf Weaving and Coconut Husking Demonstration is held Sunday mornings at the resort’s open-air Colonnade Café. Offered by the resort’s Fun Team, guests enjoy the experience of learning to weave baskets using coconut leaves as well as the use of different parts of a coconut – from its husk to the sweet white flesh and coconut water.

Catch a Wave on Ka’anapali Beach - No visit is complete to Maui without surfing the warm Pacific. Located oceanfront at the Aloha Pavilion of The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, the Island Style Adventures offers a refreshing surf experience. In addition to surf lessons for beginners, the school also arranges stand-up paddle lessons, a new sporting adventure that has become a rave among local residents and visitors to Maui. Learn to surf like a pro or simply enjoy frolicking fun with family and friends. For reservations, call 808-244-6858 or visit westinmaui.com.

Extreme Fire Knife Dancing Anyone? - If you are seeking an eclectic Polynesian performance on the beautiful islands of Maui, catch the Wailele Polynesian Luau held at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa. The two-and-a-half hour well-choreographed performance includes spell-binding Fiji and Maori numbers as well as dances and songs from: Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand and Samoa – a truly authentic Polynesian revue! What sets it apart from other traditional luau dinner shows is the extreme fire knife dance finale, the one and only in Maui, with Tavita Taueetia (third generational fire knife dancer) leading the performance. Other distinctive features include the delicious three-course Hawaiian meal presented family style at the table, just like in the olden days as well as the stunning backdrop with ocean views, lush tropical greenery; soothing sounds of waterfalls and a breathtaking sunset.
