Ocean Tower


A total of 553 new guestrooms and suites in the Ocean Tower were unveiled in January 2014. The seventy-million dollar project includes redesigned rooms that exude contemporary elegance with artistic Hawaiian touches, creating vibrant energy amidst the beachfront resort’s spectacular surroundings. The intuitive enhancements set to delight guests include:

  • NEW BEDROOM with redesigned furnishings, modern décor and island-inspired artwork, state-of-the-art electronics, HSIA (High Speed Internet Access), and fresh flooring. Westin’s iconic Heavenly Bed remains for a restful sleep.
  • NEW BATHROOM with elegant glass-enclosed showers featuring Westin brand’s spa-like Heavenly Shower.
  • NEW BALCONY with weather-resistant sliding door, matching lanai furniture and flooring as well as transparent glass railings to provide panoramic views of legendary Ka’anapali Beach and West Maui Mountains.
Guest Rooms:

Each of the 730 guest rooms feature the Westin signature “Heavenly Bed” and “Heavenly Bath.”  The Heavenly Bed is the ultimate in comfort, with 10 layers of deluxe bedding.  All rooms offer a mini refrigerator, in-room safe and a private balcony, which allows views of the Pacific Ocean and the islands of Lanai and Molokai, or the Golf Course and lush West Maui Mountains.         

Suites:

The 29 suites are individually designed, providing contemporary décor.  Located on the highest floor of the 11-storey resort, the Imperial Suite is the largest with 2,063 square-foot of spacious luxury. The king size bedroom is beautifully furnished with a large walk-in closet, dressing area and marble-tiled bathroom with sunken spa tub, separate shower and double vanity.
The one-bedroom Luxury Suites feature 1,232 square feet of separate dining areas with parlors, wet bars, marble-tiled bathrooms, sunken spa tubs with Jacuzzis and balconies with full ocean views.  

Executive and Premier suites are both one-bedroom and include a separate parlor area, marble-tiled bathrooms in each bedroom and balconies with full ocean views.

Relish Burger Bistro:       

The very first to open in Hawaii, Relish Burger Bistro introduces a new trend to casual hotel dining. The restyled signature restaurant also offers SuperfoodRX menu with creative pairings that highlight Hawaii’s unique local flavors and ingredients. Located poolside, the menu includes innovative selections such as burgers served bun-less and traditional favorites. Beer lovers will enjoy Relish Beer Menu with its extensive choices and seasonal specials. Open all day from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Relish Bar is open until 10:30 pm.

Sugar House:

The new Sugar House Island Kitchen and Rum Bar delights guests with its diverse offerings, ranging from scrumptious small plates to salads and more. The restaurant presents a magnificent oceanfront setting along legendary Ka’anapali Beach. Open daily for happy hour and dinner.

Colonnade Café:

An open-air dining place overlooking a lagoon of Koi fish, tropical birds and waterfalls. Serving Starbuck’s coffee and continental breakfast as well as light fare. Open daily from 5:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Sea Dogs:

This poolside venue offers hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches and refreshing Hawaiian shave ice.  Open daily from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Beach Bar:

Poolside drinks, snacks and spectacular sunsets.  Located on the Oahu pool deck (adult pool deck).

Wailele Polynesian Luau

This excellent Polynesian revue features performances from Hawaii, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti and New Zealand including Maui’s only extreme fire knife dance finale. Held outdoors amidst a breathtaking oceanfront setting, dinner is served buffet style with traditional Hawaiian family style seating in round tables. HEAVENLY SPA BY WESTIN™
Within the 15,000 square-foot full-service spa oasis are 16 treatment rooms including two couples massage suites – each with a whirlpool and candlelit ambience; separate men and women lockers with sauna, steam room and whirlpools; ocean view relaxation lounge where guests are pampered with delightful refreshments and healthy spa cuisine; a full-service beauty salon with hairstyling, manicures, pedicures, hair-braiding, and make-up. An outdoor cabana for single or couple massages surrounded by waterfalls and lush gardens completes the offerings of this Westin branded spa, the first such spa opened worldwide in 2004.

This new addition offers wellness classes to guests and non-guests including yoga, body toning, spinning, pilates and personal training. For a cultural approach, the Mantra Meditation presents a mindful approach that will mentally walk guests through Maui ‘s serene settings with focus on posture and breathing to help heighten awareness and quiet the mind.

A new look with an indoor-outdoor feel was unveiled at the redesigned Aloha Pavilion. Two new meeting rooms with magnificent ocean views and an expanse outdoor space with waterfalls, palms and koi pond gardens offer inspiring settings to meeting planners.

Valley Isle Ballroom:

The Valley Isle Ballroom occupies more than 8,760 square feet and has a 1,000-person capacity.  The Ballroom can be divided into three rooms.

Haleakala Ballroom:

The Haleakala Ballroom occupies more than 4,000 square feet.  This elegantly appointed room is perfect for receptions, banquets and special events.  It also features a projection booth.

Halawai Lounge:

Located on the 11th floor of the Beach Tower, the Halawai Lounge is designed for exclusive functions with spectacular views of the resort, ocean and surrounding islands.

Greening Our Meetings
Customizing and selecting menu choices is literally at your finger-tips with the recent launch of Sustainable Meeting Practices at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa! The newly developed Westin E-menu online program offers a paperless meeting planning process with electronic sales tools to conserve paper – including sales proposals, menu selection, room list creation, and reservation cross-check. Other practices integrating environmental and social responsibility include “Meetings with Aloha” where attendees give back to the local community through team-building and volunteer activities such as Malama Honokowai valley restoration project and sustainable menu options using locally-grown ingredients.

ROMANCE
Here, couples can look forward to saying ‘I Do’ in extraordinary settings. From the “Splash Into A New Beginning” wedding ceremony held atop the resort’s 128-foot slide to the resort’s lobby waterfall with its walkway hidden by cascading waterfalls, the choices are simply breathtaking. Traditional venues include a beach lawn for weddings up to 50 persons and the outdoor Aloha Pavilion for a ceremony of up to 400 persons.

The diversity in venues even includes a Roman-styled gazebo amidst koi pond gardens as well as two spectacular ballrooms for classic and themed receptions and banquets.
