Thanks to its superb beaches, ravishing tropical scenery, wide range of activities, and magnificent hotels, the island of Maui can justly claim to be the world's most glamorous vacation destination.
Many visitors make the drive up Haleakala, the dormant volcano which rises to over 10,000 feet above sea level. Some arrive early to see a dramatic sunrise over Haleakala. Others arrange mountain bike tours down the mountain's narrow and winding roads.
For others, lush and rainy Hana is the least developed and purest escape. Narrow winding roads and single-lane bridges lead to exquisite waterfalls, wild orchids and the quaint little town of Hana with its art gallery, shops and black sand beach.
No matter where on the island you choose to visit, it is easy to see why Maui is "no ka oi" -- Maui is the best!
